I heard this great idea this morning from Erica on New Life 91.9 in Charlotte.
Her new Thanksgiving speciality is a table cloth-based tradition.
Take a solid white, champagne or beige table cloth. I'm thinking the cheaper the better. And I think you'll know why after reading this... buy a bunch of Sharpies permanent markers in different colors. At Thanksgiving, have your guests write what they are thankful for, sign their name and date the "entry." Each year, put the table cloth out for additional gratitude signatures.
What a great way to be reminded of what we're thankful for!
Make sure to put some paper under the table cloth so it doesn't bleed through onto your table.
If your inner Martha or Sandra Lee shudders at the thought of ruining a perfectly good tablescape with gratitude grafitti, use this table cloth for the kids' table.
I can't wait to use this at my next November soiree!!
